We are gradually plodding forward in designing and planning for our ensuite, on Saturday we headed out into Bristol to look at tiles. We saw one place near Temple Meads then went up to Clifton for lunch, before seeing some other places.
We had lunch in a very nice place that was all about the meat – this was fine by Squidge – she was very happy to munch her way through chicken wings then steak, with a smattering of cheese, chips, pickles and bread on the way. Fidget was presented with a cup of crayons and colouring sheets and a pencil sharpener, she spent the whole time we were there sharpening pencils, until there was a little mound of sawdust under her chair. Sunday, and Fidget asked to have a pony tail and clips in. She chose her clips and I put them for her – I thought they looked great so I took some pictures while Fidget had a dance around.
Mush’s family has moved house so I asked Fidget if she would like to make a card, she has a current fascination with scissors so saw her opportunity to do some cutting and leapt at the idea…
I think Fidget got a bit lost in her cutting once she was underway as her first response when asked what she was doing was not on script….
so reminded of her lines – take 2…
Squidge has been suffering rather with her top teeth coming through, she has been waking up at nights and M has been using his super powers to get up most nights to shush her. He took the opportunity to have 40 winks, but Squidge had other ideas…
We woke up on Sunday morning and spotted another fete (or party according to Fidget) setting up in the park. After lunch we walked across. We found out the fete was in aid of a local brass band who were playing merrily in the corner. There was a fab second hand book stall and we came back with armfuls.
We nipped home to offload the books then wandered back. They had a mini-waltzer that Fidget asked to go on. It looked more spinney than the teacups from last week so I thought I should go on with her…
I did my best to keep it together and talk to Fidget as we span to make sure she was ok. She was fine – I felt ill! I know - what a wuss I am!
We then went over to the play area… Squidge was enjoying the climbing frame…
and slide, particularly with big sis’ to help out… then it was back for one more wander around. There was a big bouncy slide £1.50 for 4 goes. Fidget and I decided to have 2 goes each…
Back home, M picked our first squash from the garden and to make it seem bigger – got Fidget to pose with it for the photo, before making a ginourmous pan of soup…
Tuesday morning we had a treat, a visit from Aunty M and cousins J and C. It was really nice to see them all, have a chat and roll about on the floor… Tuesday Squidge was 47 weeks old…
