Tuesday afternoon was mummies afternoon at the Challis Palace. As it is half term we had S and little T with us, so we decided to try and take some pictures of the baby gang. With little I's crawling, and quite a bit of bawling, it was quite a hard task, but I think between us we got a few pictures....

At 4:30 the mummies and babies headed home, and after a quick tidy round we were ready to receive our next guests... some freinds from back in our university frisbee team!!

They were really here to meet Fidget! But we were very pleased they stayed for dinner after Fidget went to bed.

Its been a busy bank holiday weekend so quite a lot to get through in this post, Friday was Fidget's 45 week birthday, but again no pictures until Saturday...

Grandma, Grandad and Uncle A came down to visit, as it was my birthday over the weekend. On Saturday morning Grandma and Uncle A helped out in the garden while Grandad looked after Fidget letting me get out and do some planting. Fidget and Grandad had great fun playing humpty dumpty...

On Saturday afternoon we had to find a pub showing the Hull City v Bristol City match, there were no other Hull City supporters and when Hull scored their (winning) goal, the cheers were quite restrained, but we had a celebration with "Hull City" bear when we got home...

Saturday evening was the Eurovision Song Contest, several countries were represented at the Challis Palace...

Sweden

Poland

Turkey

Denmark

and France

A great evening was had by all, though it did get a bit much towards the end of the 3 hr extravaganza...

Sunday was pretty damp, we ate some nice food

and then to up the excitement factor - went to visit a car dealership and bought a new buggie for Fidget.

We did try to make up for it, with some lovely cocktails in the evening

Monday was my birthday, M made us cherry pancakes for breakfast while I opened my lovely gifts, I got a wonderful handbag, some lovely clothes, great jewellry, make up and CDs and thanks to Fidget for the Super Monkey Ball Delux PS2 game!! Many thanks to all you kind people!

M then made us a lovely beef lunch which Fidget enjoyed too.

Hair watch update....

Fidget's hair has been growing (slowly), but you can now start to see the evidence, it is quite whispy, but sometimes she even gets a little curl on the side of her head! Awwwwww!

Fidget was 44 weeks old on Friday, but it was a classic fun packed Daddy day, so no photos.

On Friday evening, we gave Fidget her bath as usual, put her in her sleeping bag and fed her, but instead of being put to bed, she was taken out to the car which she thought was very amusing...for a little while until it all got a bit tiring. She woke up briefly to find herself at Granny and Grandpas house, but settled down happily in the cot there.

We had a lovely weekend visiting Granny and Grandpa, we had a swim in the pool,

went out to the charity shops and while I got some great clothes, Fidget got a new freind, he is a knitted bear in a fab shade of yellow, Fidget and bear had fun pretending to have breakfast together under the table the next morning.

M was working hard with Grandpa for most of the weekend, helping him get some jobs done around the place,

but Fidget and I just took it easy!!

Yesterday's mummies afternoon was held in the park again, Fidget and I got there early and read a book about being outside and tried to spot some of the characters from the book...

Mush had brought bubbles which was good fun

N and I then turned up, we missed them last week, and were glad to see little I and his cheeky grin.

It was such a lovely afternoon, I was glad that I had packed Fidget's tea of cheese sandwhiches and a plum which she yumed down.
