Fidget is 33 weeks old today....

Just back from a lovely weekend visiting Grandma and Grandad, Uncle A and Aunty B were also staying there, so Fidget had a lovely time playing with everyone. We were there to celebrate Grandma's birthday. On Sunday morning, M made cherry pancakes for us all, sharing the cherry-love...

We then went out for lunch to a really nice restaurant with Great Grandma, and all the Great Aunts and Uncles. Most of us went for the "round-the-world" buffet option, basically... all-you-can-eat of delicious currys and such, I got 3 rounds out of it - what a score!! The food was really lovely, and Grandma had a lovely time, surrounded by her family and talking about football.

Fidget was 32 weeks old yesterday...

we spent the day travelling up to Hull to visit Grandma and Grandad

it's Grandmas birthday too, so we'll have to take lots of pictures of her!

Had to wait in for a delivery today (inner door for our porch - looking forward to the extra draftproofing), and after a bad night last night, was very glad when the cavalry arrived in the form of Mush and mini-Mush!

The door had arrived so we went for a walk and bought some cakes - a cherry sponge cake each with cherry icing and they were huge!! We were so sick - it was fantastic.

Fidget was in a bid of a mump, so mini-Mush did the best he could to console her when it became clear that we weren't going to be sharing the cakes with them...

Fidget has recently got much better at sitting up, we think she's been practicing while we were not looking, but on Friday she had to reveal her skills to daddy in order to enjoy sitting under a colourful parachute at twinkling stars...

so now her secret is out there is no stopping her

We all seem to be adjusting well to our new routines, but TeamChallis never likes being split up really, so we have a webcam so daddy can see us when he's at work...

Fidget is getting the hang of how it works.. green light comes on, try to eat the grey thing!

We'll have to send her to nursery with one...

Fidget was 31 weeks old yesterday....

And another fun and successful daddy-day was had.

Last night, I went out for a curry with the other mummies, no babies!!! We had a super time, and managed to spend most of the evening not talking about babies, though we couldn't go the whole night without a short mention of teeth, babies bottoms and such!

Speaking of teeth... Fidget has her first one coming through!!! One tooth on the bottom has broken through the skin and you can feel it and just see it. We tried to take some pictures, with limited success, I think you can see it on one, but she looks cute so I thought I would post them anyway!

Fidget is 7 months old today, can you believe it!!

Off to Nursery this morning again, we are managing to get ourselves together and out the door in fairly short order, not sure that Fidget appreciates the organisation required...

Fidget is getting really strong on her front, you can see she wants to be moving but so far her method is to flap her arms and legs wildly and then stop to see if she's got anywhere.

Fidget is 30 weeks old today...

Today was her first Friday Daddy Day. Again she did well with the cup and with having a nap without needing the boob. Fidget and Daddy had great fun and both came out relatively unscathed!

I headed back to work at home in the afternoon and give her an afternoon feed. She seemed very happy to have the team back together!

Our second day at work, and it was a much better day for Fidget and therefore for me.

For her mid-morning feed she drank 5oz of expressed milk from a cup, but even more amaizing, she aparently did it herself! She then had a further 2oz after wolfing down her lunch. I popped in to give her an afternoon feed, and she was alot more relaxed when I arrived and I even got the distinct impression she would rather get back to playing with the shiny leaf she had when I came in! She then finished off the afternoon by finishing off her tea with more milk from her cup. Quite a turnaround really.

My first day back at work today, and Fidget's first proper day at nursery. We both survived!

Fidget did really well and enjoyed playing, she wolfed down her food, and even managed to take expressed milk from a cup. I popped in to see her to give her her afternoon feed straight from the mummy milk bar, she was rather releived to see me (and the boobs) I think.

The nursery people seem nice and to be giving her lots of attention, which is great. We will see how it goes.

Last week I picked up a few bits for Fidget in a charity shop including some proper vintage (darling) items. I really like this dress, so we took a few pictures today which came out rather well...

Fidget was 29 weeks old yesterday, but we had such a busy day I completely forgot the photos so I took some pictures of Fidget kipping this morning

So that was the end of mine and Fidget's last whole week together on maternity leave, next week I will be back to work Wednesday to Friday and Fidget will be enjoying Friday fun with her Daddy.

The time has gone so quickly, I wish I could have another 6 months, but equally I am looking forward to us being able to be apart, it will be strange, but a watershed really.
