This year we spent our first Christmas at home and we were joined by Grandma, Grandad, Uncle A and Aunty B. They all came down on Christmas eve. On Christmas morning we got up and had a lovely breakfast of pastries and fruit, Fidget enjoyed her brioche, blueberries and grapes.

M got on with cooking the turkey while we all got dressed. When everyone was back down we started opening presents. Fidget got well into the swing of things, and helped everyone else open their presents too.
She got lots of great presents, and we will try and get pictures for the blog of them all. Thanks to everyone.
She wore her dress that she had got from Great Aunt and Uncle S and K.

Fidget got a doll, accessories and pram from Grandma and Grandad, she was really chuffed with them...

Aunty B and Uncle A were delighted with the homemade (by me) snake draft excluder...
Fidget got a keyboard from Great Grandma...
I got some great earmuffs, and Fidget got a super tea set from the Starks, she has really enjoyed playing with it.

DJ Fidget's earmuffs are from Mummy and Daddy...

She got a spinning top from Grandma and Grandad

We all enjoyed the food, it was delicious....

Fidget also got some baby mechano from Mummy and Daddy...

everyone had a go putting it together

On boxing day we went out for a walk along the Bristol - Bath cycle path
We stopped at Mangotsfield station for a cup of coffee and some biscuits

The light was fantastic for photos

but it was very cold so we headed back...

at home we had hot chocolate, with a nip of whisky for me and Grandad. (Thanks to Granny for the lovely top and jeans Fidget is wearing)

The day after boxing day, everyone left. It was still bitterly cold, so for a trip across to the park we made sure Fidget was well wrapped up...

This morning we decided that a trip out to the city farm would be fun, but on arrival found it closed until early in the new year. We went to a nearby garden centre for lunch.

Back home we had a great afternoon playing,

thanks to the Booths for the lovely dress and top

M and I are off work now for Christmas. On Friday we all went swimming first thing and had a lovely time, we saw Mush and mini-Mush at the pool. Thursday night had been our work Christmas party, we had a lovely evening - even winning a prize for our dancing! But I ended up with a bit of a cold the next day, and we both felt the worse for lack of sleep. Thanks ever so much to Aunty M and Uncle A for babysitting!
On Saturday, Granny and Grandpa arrived and looked after Fidget while M made a start with his preparations for our mini-Xmas on Sunday, and I did some cleaning around the house.

On Sunday, we had our first Christmas meal, with Granny, Grandpa, Aunty M and Uncle A and Great Aunty S. Granny and Grandpa bought Fidget a great wooden hob, pans and play food. They also bought her lego and some lovely clothes and books. Thanks Granny and Grandpa!

Aunty M and Uncle A bought her a Xylophone, cool pop-up book, lovely cardigans, and a cool spinny round thing. Thanks Aunty M and Uncle A!

Great Aunty S bought her a beautiful bright dress. Thanks Great Aunty S.
We then sat down to eat. M did all the cooking, with pumpkin soup for starters, and homemade sundried tomato bread.

Then goose with all the trimmings...

Everyone agreed it was delicious. Well done M.

On Monday we had a nice morning together with a walk out to the park, then M went to get his hair cut. In the afternoon, Fidget and I left Daddy to snooze while we went out to the mummies Christmas party. We took some more group shots, haven't they all grown....

We had lots of nice food and secret santa presents, Fidget's secret santa was really generous. Thanks Secret Santa!!!

Fidget turned 17 months on Saturday...

Grandpa came up to see us and help M out in the garden, they finished off the pergola and tidying up the far deck.

They also munched up the prunings from the apple tree.

Fidget and I went out to see the local Christmas parade, and then had a wander around the garden. Fidget enjoyed investigating the herbs...

Fidget enjoyed seeing Grandpa.
I had to take off half a days leave that couldn't be carried over, so today, while M is away in London I went at lunch to pick up Fidget and went to a soft play place. It was very quiet, we had a great time running around, bouncing on the bouncy castle, crawling up the climbing frame and down the spongy slide and playing in the ball pool. And because it was so quiet, we went on the big kids section, climbing all the way to the top (2+ stories) and then came down a huge slide together saying weeeeeee all the way down, and then down again and again!
While we had a bite to eat, I was chatting to Fidget about what was coming up over the next few days, I said Granny and Grandpa were coming to see us and Fidget's face lit up and she said "ampaa".
