Tuesday 8th was quiet, it was Granny's actual birthday, so there were a few visitors around and S & K were leaving. Fidget enjoyed her lunch.

In the afternoon, M & I went boogie boarding with Grandpa, he had a wetsuit, we didn't, and it was a little cold, but it was fun! Fidget played on the beach with Granny, M's and Aunt N, cousins little N and G. (Thanks to M's cousin G for the photos)

Wednesday 9th was Aunty M's birthday. Fidget, M & I went across to the park first thing.

Below, it does look like I am sat in a bin, but I assure you it was part of the playground, and was a cup that span round in a very dissorientating fashion!

Later on there were some games in the front garden of Caratra.

We got the house ready for a little party for Aunty M. Fidget enjoyed playing with the other babies.

(more super photos from M's cousin G...)

After cake, Aunty M, Uncle A, me, M and his cousins A and E went boogie boarding again. The waves weren't as good, but the water was very clear and it was lovely to float about.

The plan on Monday 7th was to head out to the Giant's Causeway. Aunty M and Uncle A weren't up, so teamChallis headed out with Granny, Grandpa, and Great Aunt & Uncle S & K. We crossed the Foyle on the Ferry, but Fidget was asleep so stayed in the car with Daddy.
We then stopped at Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne, but Fidget was still sleeping, so I stayed in the car with her, and Daddy went in with the others.

She woke up just as we got to the Giant's Causeway, but it was lunchtime so we had lunch in a nearby pub. Fidget ate almost all of Daddy's plaice.
At the Causeway, we walked a 41/2 mile route which had some quite high paths and windy spots. There were some lovely veiws but it wasnt safe for Fidget to walk so she was strapped to Daddy in the Baby Bjorn. We had tea and cake with the others before leaving them to carry onto the Bushmills distillery.

Fidget was awake this time on the Ferry crossing back. It was bedtime when we got back, but there was still enough time for a visit to the cousins at the other cottage for a bit of playtime before sleep.

Sunday 6th, Fidget woke early, which was a surprise given her late night. It was cold downstairs at the cottage, so Fidget tried out her new pink dressing gown which was a present from Mummy & Daddy for her birthday. After a time the others started to surface, and then the cottage started filling up with visitors. Fidget did find it a bit overwhelming at first, but soon got used to it.
Most people dissapeared by the afternoon, Daddy & Fidget had a walk to the beach while I had a nap. The cottage at Caratra was in a lovely position so close to the beach, literaly seconds walk, with great veiws.
Daddy's cousins Aine & Eamon came over, and Daddy, Marian and Andy joined them for a swim in the sea. Me and Fidget went down to watch and Fidget had a walk about on the beach. It was a lovely flat beach to walk on.

On the second Saturday (5th July), we were up early and away from Craggy Cottage heading north to Culdaff, right up on the north of the Inishowen peninsula. Fidget slept for the first stretch, we stopped for elevenses south of Sligo, then pushed on for lunch in Donegal, where Fidget shared my salmon and M's steak. Caried on to Derry and arived at Caratra at about 4pm.

We were staying in a cottage with Fidget's Granny, Grandpa, Auntie Marian, Uncle Andy, Great Aunty Sheila and Great Uncle Ken. Granny's birthday party was being held that evening, so lots of people were arriving and poping in to say hello. We all got dressed and went to the party. Fidget wore a beautiful pink dress and cardigan bought by Granny.

M's cousin G, took some really lovely photos, that she has kindly sent across...

Fidget really enjoyed meeting her cousins, but got tired quite quickly so we put her up to bed in one of her Great Aunt and Uncles rooms in the hotel upstairs.
There was food, dancing, cake, a speach and a comand performance from the lady of the evening!
