Swimathon update

Just wanted to do a quick update to say thanks so much to everyone that sponsored us on today’s channel swim.

Mark did 180 lengths which was the longest single stretch of any of the swimmers today. He wanted to get to 200, but the next swimmer was already poolside shivering in his shorts so Mark called it a day at that.

The girls were great supporters and Fidget was so inspired by the swimming that she went on to her swimming lesson and swam her first ever unaided length (no floats or anything!) we are both so proud of her.

I swam 50 lengths but also had the privilege of swimming the glory length that got us across the channel 17 lengths into my swim. Everyone had done so well that by the end of the day we had done 2652 lengths (rather than the 2240 lengths needed to swim the channel) which makes 39.8km the equivalent of Curacao to BonAire! Slightly more exotic!

As I write this we raised over £1,500 which is fantastic! Thanks so much!

Here are a few pictures from the day…
