On Monday (5th), me and the girls went over to explore the big kids new playground properly.
Tuesday (6th) Squidge was 9 months old and some number of weeks – M makes it 40 weeks, going by the last post it should be 39, I thought 9 months = 38 weeks?! Confused – help!!! Anyway here are the pics… (post post note – we went to have Squidge weighed this week and the health visitor confirmed she was 39 weeks at this point)
Fidget at 39 weeks….
Them both now…
Fidget wanted to do some painting, she painted two rainbows…
The next picture was taken on the Wednesday morning as Squidge and I got ready. Squidge has quite a habit of putting stuff over her head, she had found one of my scarfs put it on so it was covering her head entirely then was sat very still in the corner of the room waiting for me to “peepo!” her – which we both thought was hilarious. She then crawled off taking the scarf with her…
Thursday is our Jolly Babies day, it is now over for the summer, but on the 8th I got a picture of Squidge enjoying instrument time…
In the afternoon we took a walk along the cycle path to Turner’s farm shop where I gave Squidge her tea when she woke up from snoozing, but while she slept I got to enjoy a cool drink – mmmm.
On Friday 9th we went for Fidget’s swimming lessons in the morning, this was Fidget’s 2nd lesson and the first one where she went in the water (for the last 30 seconds!). She is at the pre-school lessons where she has to go in the water without me. The first week she just flat refused, so Fidget and I stood poolside with her for the half hour watching the lesson! 2nd lesson went similar until the last bit where the kids were jumping in from the side, this was too much for Squidge to resist and the further inducement of the promise of an icecream if she “just got in the water!!” meant that she finally joined the other kids and jumped in, then swam back to the side with the teacher, to get out for the end of the lesson. (Subsequent lessons have been much better).
We had lunch at the leisure centre and then sped across to the Bath park and ride and into Bath to meet up with Grandma and Grandad. We had a nice wander around, then they came back home with us.
