The Christening was a big event, so after getting everything cleared up and squared away, it was time to relax. Everyone was very kind, and Squidge is very pleased with all her presents...
I downloaded the next set of photos from my phone, I am not sure when these pictures of Fidget playing in her boat were taken, so they may as well go here as anywhere!
The Saturday after the Christening, we had a quiet day at home and it was lovely! The sun was shining, we camped out on the far deck for the day...
I will post up the resultant pictures from the shoot soon, though the observant among you may have noticed them in the pictures to the right hand side. Monday was at home with the girls, we had a walk out to the park, where Squidge tried out another swing...
Fidget joined her...
they had a great time...
Tuesday (20th April), Squidge was 28 weeks old. Fidget decided to read her a story...
them both now...
Fidget has them on the second set of buttons, but there is not that much difference for 5 months of growing room. And it's not like Fidget was a small baby! Squidge is in 9-12 month vests and sleepsuits. She is wearing dresses that Fidget got for her first birthday. There are some leggings that are size 18-24 months that I have taken straight from Fidget's drawer and Squidge is already wearing them! She is now really confident with sitting up, and will happily play with toys while sitting up for quite some time, she can also reach right out to grab something and then get herself back to sitting.
On the Wednesday, Squidge and I went into Bath on the park and ride, this was Squidge's first bus trip...

We had a good wander round in the sunshine, seeing many interesting sights, though I am not sure Squidge appreciated the shops as much as the buskers and horses we passed.
Friday we had planned to have a walk along the cycle path with Naomi and Iestyn. The weather took a turn for the worse, but we decided to go anyway. We started at Bitton station, walked along to the river, had a wander round and then back to Bitton for lunch.

It was really super walk out, I certainly enjoyed having a natter with Naomi, and Fidget and Iestyn were happy talking to each other between their prams as we pushed them through the drizzle. Squidge was in the sling, under my raincoat wearing a sunhat to keep off the rain. She was fairly happy there and even dropped off.Sunday we went to Theo's Christening. It was a very nice service in a lovely church...
She can get right across the floor by rolling now. She also does a bit of bum shuffling when she is sitting. She is keen on walking too, but is certainly different to Fidget in that she likes sitting, whereas Fidget just wanted to stand. Squidge does not like to be on her front while Fidget was quite happy to play on her front. Squidge is able to go quite far forward from sitting (to reach something) and gets into a kneeling position, which could develop into crawling - who knows!
