Saturday was the Easter Party for the mummy friends. The party was at 3, so in the morning I flapped around the house getting things ready, M made a cake and some chocolate crispy cakes. At 3pm we were all ready to go, Fidget put on her butterfly wings ready to greet her guests...

she was nearly as excited as Mummy was!

As soon as everyone arrived we got started making Easter bags. I had got small cotton bags, fabric pens, stick on Easter shapes, letters for their names, stick on gems and eyes. Everyone was very busy and each bag was a masterpiece...

While they finished the bags, like a little Easter bunny - I took my basket and distributed chocolate eggs around the garden.

the kids lined up with their bags ready...

then were set loose...

they are at a very sweet age, they got the concept of finding eggs and putting them in their bags but were not so focused on the chocolate to run around or fight over any of it. So they gently pottered around picking up eggs, sometimes considering the eggs and putting them back down!

Iestyn even emptied out his bag in the veg patch at one point, maybe he was hoping to grow more eggs!

eggs all found, it was back to the house...

time to inspect the haul...

We then took the opportunity to get a picture of them all together...

Then it was back inside for some food and drink...

then plenty of time for playing and chatting...

it was a really smashing day - thanks everyone to coming and bringing all the lovely food! Happy Easter!
As our guests departed, we had a tidy around and Fidget comendeared the furniture to make a "cafe in the sunset" for her dolls and bear...
I had got some polestyrene eggs to decorate at the party but in the end it all seemed a bit much to fit in, so on Sunday Fidget had a go at decorating them...

On Tuesday Squidge was 25 weeks old...

Fidget at 25 weeks...

them both now...

Squidge is sitting up well but not moving about much, but she does do this really groovy wiggle when she wants to move about, I caught a bit of it on camera...
Sleeping has been a bit worse lately, for the last few weeks Squidge has been typically waking up for at least 2 feeds in the night and still waking at 5 or 6 in the morning. I am pretty worn out by it, but keep remembering that any time soon we could have a breakthrough and she could start sleeping through. Next week she will move into her own room so that is one factor that could help.
The weaning is going better, Squidge is a pretty enthusiastic eater, I offer the spoon and she grabs it, puts it in her mouth and slurps off what ever is on it. Her absolute favourite at the mo is bananna, she grins so much when she gets it, and half a bannana will dissapear in minutes with nothing left in the bowl! She also likes avocado and carrot, butternut squash was less well received but she still had a go.
