In the evenings I have been trying to make progress with Fidgets new curtains, by the time Fidget is in bed, Squidge is fed and settled and I've had some tea I have about 1hr and a half, which may be enough to machine sew a seam and then pin and tack the next bit, so they are taking some time, here I am tacking the lining to a curtain.

We didn't have any more snow until Tuesday night this week, but it stayed really cold and the snow didn't go at all. Grandpa reminded M to check the condensate drain from the boiler, a huge length was frozen up...

been trying to give Squidge more tummy time, she is getting better at holding her head up. She is getting good at grabbing hold of things that come near. She has also started chuckling. Fidget in particular makes her laugh.

Fidget has been seeming ready for potty training for a while now, her friend Lucy at nursery is potty trained and Fidget talks about this and takes a great interest in going to the loo. So we decided to get the things we would need to get started this weekend, when M would be there too and we could stay at home. I got some knickers for her, some pull up pants for night, a kiddies seat for the loo and a travel potty. But as soon as Fidget saw all this she wanted to get going, so this week I have put her in the pull ups and encouraged her to use the potty if she wants to. On Monday she didn't manage to use the potty at all, but on Tuesday she had a wee and a poo in the potty, so we'll see how we get on at the weekend.

On Tuesday evening we put Fidget to bed as usual but Squidge joined us for the story, then instead of going downstairs to feed Squidge and have her sleep on our laps all evening, I fed her upstairs and put her down in her cot, there was a fair bit of going up and down the stairs to settle her but it went fairly well and Fidget didn't wake which was good. That first night after a big feed from 6:30 until 7:30, she slept until 4:30, so effectively dropped the 10:30 feed.
