Easter weekend just gone, Friday was a bit boring as M had to do some project work and so Fidget and I just milled around.

Saturday was a lovely day, we spent most of it in the garden, M planted the rest of the potatoes, I sewed some cabbage, broccoli, kohl rabi, kale and welsh perennial onion.

Fidget helped out with watering and had a good run around.

Fidget helped M plant the seed onions....

Our garden is so nice now, so after a while it was time for a little picnic on the grass, this time last year you would have needed an encounter suit to sit out here and would have been balanced on rusty metal, wood, weeds and a variety of wildlife.

I got a basin of water out for Fidget to play with, she had a brilliant time, and then started pouring it over herself, so after a while we had to take her in to get dry, but it had been a great day.

On Sunday we headed out to Avon Valley Country Park, which is nearby, it was quiet when we arrived, Fidget had a play on the baby activity area, there was lots of stuff for older children to play on, but not so much for little ones so we continued on.

We had a go on the train, Fidget was really excited about it while we were waiting and was running up and down the platform, but was rather more relaxed when we got on.

We had a look around pets corner, Fidget really liked the rabbits, we then went along the riverside walk...

along the way were adventure play things, most were a bit old for Fidget, but we did have a go with the see-saw...

along the walk were also lots of paddocks with animals in, we saw some cool cows, sheep, donkeys

goats, lamas

horses, kangaroos, ducks and geese. We stopped for a picnic lunch by a pond, where we met a rather friendly escapee goat.
We walked past a falconry area, Fidget was fascinated by the eagle owls and didn't want to move on.

Eventually we headed back to the entrance area to find it was now heaving. We found a patch on the grass and we all had ice creams.

When we got home, we asked Fidget what her favourite animals had been and she said "rabbit", we then gave Fidget a chocolate rabbit for Easter. She was pretty chuffed with that.
We were at home again on Monday, and out in the garden again, I got some flower seeds sown and planted out some sweet pea seedlings.

In the greenhouse went some sweetcorn seeds, cucumber, sunflower, runner beans and french beans, Fidget helped out with the planting and watering.
In the afternoon Aunty M and Uncle A came by, they brought Fidget an egg painting kit, a chocolate egg and a great book (which Fidget demanded I read to her 4 times in a row this morning!), thanks Aunty M and Uncle A!!
