14th March was a Monday, Pluto was still with us and enjoyed some lunch with the girls…
Tuesday 15th in the afternoon we went around to Naomi’s house to meet little Harri, Iestyn’s new baby brother. I got to have some cuddles with Harri and it was great to see Naomi and catch up. Wednesday 16th I was at work, but in the evening I was able to go round to see Mush and her new Baba (that was his name at the time as they couldn’t decide on a name – he is now called Oscar). I had great cuddles with Oscar and then left him to enjoy a bath.
Both Mamas and Babas are really looking well.
Friday 18th. Fidget does enjoy her dressing up and one of her current favourites is to put on a big flowery dress and become a “meadow princess”, an essential element of this outfit is her “best bonnet”, it is all a bit Beatrix Potter – but very cute. Once dressed up as a meadow princess there is a fair amount of going to and from “the ball”, sometimes interspaced with going to bed, having a shower and going swimming – a meadow princess’s life is a busy one it seems.
Monday 21st, M and I had swapped working days. The girls and I went out to the shops including stopping at Lidle, which was just full of toys. I do like having a browse around Lidle’s random goods isle but when it is accompanied by the continuous refrain of “ooo can we have this?” “shall we get one of those mummy?” it does get a bit tiring. Anyway we did get a few things including a cool teddy bear jigsaw set, which both the girls enjoyed playing with together when we got home… Friday 25th. Granny and Grandpa arrived in the morning. M had taken Friday off so he and Grandpa could get to work on the ensuite. They were just in time for Granny to join us at Squidge’s last sing and sign of the term. It was a really fun, energetic class and we got to see Leo and baby Oscar at the class too with their Mummy and Daddy.
After the class we went to the supermarket, had our lunch then got in some provisions for the weekend including some super cool sunglasses for Squidge…cooooool.
On Saturday, the ladies went out to Cribbs Causeway and got Fidget some new shoes. Granny bought the girls party sandals which was very kind – thank you Granny!
We got back home and a few minutes later Aunty M, Uncle A, C & J arrived. The kiddies had a good time playing together…
Little C was not yet walking, she had taken a few steps before but hadn’t repeated it. She was however happy to walk around pushing the pram which gave her no support so she was effectively walking by herself.
More fun…
Fidget and C – shipmates… M and Grandpa made great progress on the ensuite over the weekend. By the end of Sunday we had a functioning loo, sink in place and plumbed in and shower tray in place.
The girls were particularly impressed by the new loo and felt it required closer inspection…
Saturday 2nd April. We got some work done around the house and garden and took a walk across to the park…
Sunday – sleepy cheeker…
Friday 8th March. The weather has got very warm so I wanted to set up camp in the garden for the afternoon.
I couldn’t find the shade tent so I rigged up a bit of shade the best I could using an umbrella and the parachute…
Squidge was playing quite intently with her shape sorter so I tried to take some pictures of her. The ones towards the end of the group, she is doing some signs, “open”, “bee” and the last two are “bear”.
my girls…
time for playing in the swing…
On Saturday lunchtime we had a BBQ with Uncle A and Aunty B, and also Craig and Julie who have just moved into a house very near ours. It was another beautiful day, and the Challis Palace was well set up for a sunny BBQ…
the girls enjoyed their food…
especially the ice creams…
After lunch, M went back with Craig and Julie to their house to nose around and offer DIY advice, Squidge had a nap and Fidget, A&B and I chilled out in the sun…
