A week ago last Thursday, Grandma and Grandad came down for a visit. Uncle A had found a flat, so the plan for the weekend was to help him move in and fit in some celebration of Squidge’s birthday.
On Saturday the main move took place with the mummy mobile having all the back seats removed to make it the daddy van. Grandad’s car was also put to work and I got to drive the general with all the ladies in and one box in the boot.
The flat is up in Clifton Wood – v posh. We unloaded, then wandered up to a Pizza Express for a birthday lunch…
Grandad and Fidget got on with some colouring, well, I gave Fidget some crayons and pictures and she instructed Grandad to get colouring…
Squidge got on with the important business of eating…
Both girls enjoyed their lunch, they both had dough balls, salad, pizza…
and then ice cream! Squidge’s was a yoghurt icecream with strawberries and sauce… We stuck a candle in it, and all sang happy birthday, while M waved the camera about – panning in and out – however he didn’t manage to press the start button on the video recording!
Fidget had a chocolate version…
Then they both had bambiccinos which is basically just the frothy milk from the top of a capuccino with chocolate sprinkles…
mmmmmmmm…..
I had a mocha coffee - “cheers Fidget!”
After lunch, we had a walk down from Andrew’s flat to the harbourside…
In the photo below, M is pointing out Uncle A’s flat…
Squidge keen to get in the fountain…
On Sunday, M and Grandad went across to Uncle A’s, to help sort out a few things and for a trip to Ikea. We ladies joined them after Squidge’s nap.
We helped put up a set of shelves, and Squidge and Fidget got on with some dusting…
We left Uncle A to get sorted out and went back to the house for Squidge to open presents that Grandma and Grandad had brought with them – from them and other family
