Woke up to more rain. Squidge had had a bad night so M had a worse one. He had a lie-in then we set off for Plozevet. As M was so tired I drove – he soon woke up when I pulled out onto the wrong side of the road. Waving “pardonez moi!” to the oncoming traffic I returned to the correct side of the road and we continued.
We got our bearings at the information centre and asked for a recommendation for lunch and were directed to a local creperie.
Fidget and Squidge yummed down cheese crepes. Fidget then had a chocolate crepe. M, Granny and I had the set menu with cheese and ham crepe, caramel crepe and coffee. The nice surprise was that the coffee came with 3 sweet crepes…sweeeeeet!
Had a walk around the village, there was a great church with a super stained glass window (a small holiday obsession begins)…
there were some cool statues too. Me and Granny had a really good look round.
Outside was more interesting sculpture…
We then drove to the coast to Penhors…
It was really windy and rainy, the coast was wild.
Squidge was asleep in the car so I stayed with her looking out at the view. Granny joined us in the car. Fidget went for an explore with Grandpa and Daddy…
But soon ended up warm inside with a “Glace sil vous plait”
Squidge woke up and we popped out for a quick look, she was fairly clear that she preferred the view from inside the car.
We went back to the cottage, had a good swim, played more scrabble (beaten again).
M went to check on the girls and found Faith fast asleep like so…
