Squidge is getting happier to play on the floor and better able to move about abit - shuffling and jiggling her legs, she can roll right over onto her side but hasn't gone the final stretch of flipping over.

On Friday morning we had Karen, Isabelle and Yasmin over from next door, me and Karen had a good chat and the girls all played very nicely together especially when they found the dressing up bag. Three princesses get ready for the ball...

Saturday morning was the first day of weaning for Squidge, so she joined us for breakfast with a bowl of delicious baby rice....
It went very well, after a bit of circumspect tounging it around her mouth she proceeded to get down to business, at one point deciding to bypass the spoon business and go straight to source.

a proud little Squidge...

all suitably fuelled up, we packed up the car and headed across to see Aunty M, Uncle A and the babies. I got to have a cuddle with baby J first off, he is so light, Squidge seems huge in comparison.
Fidget was pleased to see everyone and behaved very well, proudly telling me when she had turned away from the babies to cough.

M with baby J...
Aunty M and Uncle A are understandably very tired, but seem to be coping very well with it all. While we were there, there was only about a 20 minute period where both babies were asleep in the crib, the rest of the time it was a fairly constant process of changing, feeding, winding and cuddling to sleep. They have a shift system at night so at least they are both getting a few solid hours kip. Keep your chins up guys, it will get easier!
