Mummy day and after school, Fidget was keen to go across to the sensory garden to ride her bike, and it was a lovely afternoon for it…
1st October
The weekend before Squidge’s birthday, Grandma and Granddad came down to visit. On the Saturday we went out to the zoo. It was a really hot day so we sat outside to have our lunch, looking good birthday girl….!
We all had a good wander around…
my favourite bit is always the penguin and seal house, Squidge was hot and bothered and having a real mump until we found some massive penguin eggs.
another photo opp…
We had a play on the slides, but it really was getting hot,
so time for paddling fun!…
We then found a great spot in the shade to enjoy an ice cream each…
2nd October
Sunday was another warm day, Squidge opened her presents from Grandma and Granddad. I had gone for a bit of a domestic theme when putting Squidge’s present wishlist together. The girls play alot together either with babies (and I do feel we have alot of baby stuff) or in their kitchen, so I thought we could boost the “house” stuff.
Grandma and Granddad had got her a super mop, brush and dustpan and brush set, a wooden ice cream sundae set and a dyson vacuum cleaner!!!
Grandma and Granddad had also brought down presents from others in the family – thanks so much to everyone, I will try to get the thank yous out soon!
We set up a camp on the far deck, complete with hats to keep the sun off.
We had our lunch on the deck along with a cake for the birthday girl.
It was a lovely weekend – thanks Grandma and Granddad!!
6th October
Squidge’s actual birthday was a nursery day. We got in a special breakfast of muffins, pink milk and fruit…
btw in the last post there was a picture of Squidge sitting having her breakfast on the bench, and I meant to mention that Squidge has given up sitting in her highchair and rather joins Fidget on the bench, which is cool by me and she is a fairly neat eater now (nothing on Fidget, but then I am a messier eater than Fidget!)
When Squidge was asked if she liked her presents she said “nice presents, more presents please” – cheeky girl!
