On Sunday, M finished painting Fidget's bed guard.

I think she felt it made it much cosier in her bed so she was keen to try it out as soon as possible.

Monday night was the first night she slept in her new bed and it went really well, not a peep. We all had a good nights sleep and there was no escape escapades. She is in her sleeping bad, no duvet yet, but we have put the pillow in there. She wriggled off it last night, but this evening she is sleeping very comfortably on it. This afternoon she even went down in the new bed for a rest (a nap would be inaccurate), I put her down and she didn't get up at all, just got comfy, then later got herself some books for a read!
The garden has been looking lovely, M and I have been having our dinners out on the deck.
The rose that my bro and B bought me for my 30th (Etoile d'holland) is beautiful at the moment, this is the first year it has really got going. It is the first thing you notice when you look out to the garden.
The veg is also doing well.
Today was mummy's afternoon here. At first it was just the girls, little S and little A and their mums S and S. Fidget had spotted a "decorate a gingerbread man" kit in Sainsbugs earlier, and after being disappointed that she couldn't consume it there and then was content to wait for her chums to arrive (while chanting "later man, later man", "man" being Fidget for gingerbread man).
the girls decorated their men...
And then Mush and her boys arrived! Everyone was keen to meet little L, in particular Fidget who was fascinated and hardly left his side.
She was very gentle, giving his belly a rub...

Me and Ellis got on with decorating his gingerbread man...

There was certainly lots of noise and energy in the room, but little L wasn't disturbed at all...
Fidget again, holding L's hand...
giving him a kiss....

It was very hot outside, but nice and cool by the open back doors, the kids all played nicely together and it was a really good atmosphere...

Fidget again, giving L a cuddle...
Mush looks great, she has recovered really well and is doing brilliantly, we were all so pleased that they could all come over...
