This weekend just gone we headed across to Walesland for Aunty M and Uncle A's wedding. We took the Friday off and drove across, Fidget was really pleased to see Granny and Grandpa and was quickly taken off for a tour of the hotel to see all the other guests (all but 3 of whom were there for the wedding).

The weather on Friday was pretty overcast, so we were delighted to wake up to beautiful blue skies on Saturday.

On Saturday, first thing was for TeamChallis to get ready, Fidget had a morning splash in the big bath which she thought was super. She was also very keen to get her pretty dress on, as she had a special duty to perform as flower girl.

When we were ready we wandered along to see how the bride was getting on. There was lots of activity with hair and make up being done and cousin G was taking the official photos.

Aunty M had another Bridesmaid - S.

there was still time for fun with Aunty M and Granny

Then it was time for Aunty M to get her dress on, it was beautiful, Fidget was really impressed with all the sparkly bits...

I left M and Fidget upstairs with the bride party, M was to stay with Fidget until her big moment down the aisle arrived and i was to position myself at the end of the aisle in good view - to receive Fidget.

Downstairs, there was a super caver's wedding cake

Guest's were arriving and enjoying the sunshine and super view over the garden's and sea from the hotel. (Great Aunty & Uncle S &K).

Uncle A was ready and waiting...

The guests were seated.

Fidget was ready for her big moment and had even been having cuddles with bridesmaid S, but as they rounded the top of the aisle, Fidget saw the expectant crowds, abandoned S to walk down the aisle alone and climbed up M's leg, who made an impromptu walk down the aisle with Fidget. I don't think any body noticed the hiccup really.

the happy couple

a rare shot of Fidget with her hair-slide in. She had a little bag which had her posy sewed to it and then some hair-slides and a bracelet in it, which she wasn't that bothered on wearing but did like sorting in and out of the bag.

After the ceremony we went out into the garden for drinks and photos, it was a lovely setting, looking out over the sea.

what a cheeky chappie...

Great Uncle R and little N

Daddies and babies....

Most of the photos were taken in a lovely sunny spot, with cousin B and T blowing bubbles...

Cousin G took the photos...

Fidget having fun with Grandpa.

At one point cousin G realised that S and Fidget were having a cuddle, so she quickly assembled the best man and bride and groom for some photos, M leapt into action with the bubbles to keep Fidget entertained.

Fidget liked the bubbles

time for more photos...

For the meal, Fidget was sat next to little C, they had party bags with cool stuff - jewellry and colouring books.

When we got our starter, the kinder got sausage and mash, which was great, but came with gravy and made quite a mess!

Must have been some gravy spilt on the table cloth!

By desert Fidget was fed up of sitting down and was running around collecting up napkins, but she was pursuaded to try the ice cream they were brought. Fidget likes chocolate ice-cream...alot.
Then came the speaches, we got some video of Grandpa's speach which was really good.

After the meal, some of the family joined M and A at the Cathedral for a blessing, it was a lovely afternoon, with the orange light bouncing off the cathedral buildings.

Fidget found a ford and was only narrowly prevented from having a dip.

After a quick freshen up it was back downstairs for the evening

Fidget had a go at dancing, but she was soon quite tired.

the dancing continued into the night...

The first dance...

On Sunday we drove home, stopping at a beach on the way

It was a lovely weekend, a beautiful day for a beautiful couple.
