Back at home from Dorset, Fidget has been honing her hand eye coordination, and honestly she built this tower all by herself (why else would we have photographed it!).
Then a week ago last Thursday we were back to Dorset for Great Grandpa's funeral. Aunty M and Uncle A were also there. The service was very moving, it was sad to say goodbye, but he certainly lived a very good life. Fidget was very well behaved during the service and enjoyed meeting everyone at the meal afterwards.
We stayed for the weekend, Fidget was really pleased to spend more time with Granny and Grandpa, enjoying the spinny chair in the study...
Fidget's talking has really come on over Christmas. The list of words and confidence with them grows day by day, but typically we get "bear!" always with an exclamation mark when looking for and finding her favourite playmate, "baby" for her dolls, "tea" for any drink other than milk, "toes", "no", "eyes", "nana" for bannana, "more" with signs, "b" with the bird sign often accompanied by the "listen" sign, "woof" with the sign for dog, "moo", "baa", "quack", "door" and "shut door", "oh dear" and "uh oh!", she also does the sign for milk, brushing teeth, hat, hot and gentle. She is also copying sounds and words alot more. She also says "ampa" for Grandpa or Grandad, "anny" for Granny, "ama" for Grandma, lots of "Mummy, Mummy, Mummy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" and also "Faith" (very quietly).
On Sunday Grandpa drove M to the airport as he was heading off to China. Fidget and I had a nice lunch with Granny then drove home.
Monday afternoon was mummies afternoon at the Challis Palace. The front room was lovely and warm but it did get a bit chaotic and after a while there was hardly a clear scrap of floor for the babies to run around on!
